December News OLD BUSINESS: The By-Laws Committee has been put together and will start meeting regularly. Once they are happy with the updates, they will be brought to the BoD to be voted on. If the BoD approve the updates it will then be brought to the general meeting for a general vote. We have submitted the request forms to the state and are awaiting approval to purchase the groomer we voted on last season. We also applied for extra money to put towards purchasing a new plow blade for the groomer to help with pushing the snow where it is needed in the trail. The BoD voted in favor of having signs made up for the trail saying “This trail maintained by Finger Lakes Snowmobile Club”. We will have a couple of them at this coming meeting for everyone to see. NEW BUISNESS: The BoD has been planning out work that needs to be done on our existing bridge and our future bridges that are in the process of being built. If you have any extra time and are willing to help out please contact Mike Bartle at (585) 339-8166. We have started to put up some trail signs along the road and at road crossings. If you have some free time on Saturday December 17 th, we will be putting up all of the remaining trail signs would appreciate the help. If you have any questions you can contact Mike Bartle. We are always looking for new ideas for fundraising. If you have any ideas please come to the meeting and discuss them with our Event Coordinators: Joe Lombardo and Jason Nowak. We have the new vouchers for the upcoming season and will be renewing memberships at the general meetings. TRAIL UPDATE: The Trail is officially closed for the season. Please respect the landowners and stay off the trail until hunting season ends. The BoD has voted in favor of building another bridge in East Bloomfield next to the sewage plant. If you have the time or the skills and would like to volunteer please let us know.
